Besuchte das Lehrerinnenseminar in Thun mit einem AFS-Studentenaustauschjahr in den U.S.A.

Anschliessend Studium der Musik Pädagogik und Sport in Bern (Swiss Jazz School+Uni Bern) mit Diplomabschluss.

Umzug nach München, singing and performing with various Jazz Fusion Bands and Studio work including 3 CD's on her own, teaching Music and Voice at *ISSA* (International School Acting Schauspiel) and others.

Performed at Jazzfest Muenchen 1999 and 2004 with the Silvie Rider Band.

Lebt seit August 2007 in den U.S.A. Arbeitet und forscht intensiv im Jazzbereich Performances Auftritte *Silvie Rider Jazz Trio* (Quintet)...,Contemplation, Meditation… *study life*

Gluecklich verheiratet mit Jazz Pianist Red Young. Produktive Studio-Zusammenarbeit und gemeinsame Konzerte mit kreativen innovativen Musikern Freunden.

Red Young, musician, pianist, organist, arranger, producer, composer, songwriter, vocalist and bandleader, born and raised in Ft Worth, Texas, USA has been playing piano since age 3, studied classical piano and gave his first concert at age 10. He started touring at age 18 with trumpeter Clyde McCoy, joined the Air Force Band age 19 (spending a year in Germany), and after spending 4 years performing and arranging and performing in the military system, spent the next decade touring with Sonny & Cher, Joan Armatrading, Dolly Parton, Eric Burdon and Linda Ronstadt with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. In the mid-1980s, after the various tours (and many TV Shows, Movies and over 50 albums recorded while residing in Los Angeles) Red started his own band RED AND THE RED HOTS, a 10 piece swing/jazz band with 3 vocals and a horn section with whom he worked for the next 20 years which included many concerts and produced 4 albums. After the RED HOTS he left Los Angeles and moved to Austin, Texas and recorded many other albums with various artists, 2 jazz organ albums on his own and many concerts with the organ group as well as other artists. He joined Eric Burdon and the Animals again in 2006 and tours the world in concert as Musical Director. He met Silvie Rider in Munich in 2006, they married and moved to Austin, Texas in 2007. They perform concerts on their own and together in the USA and Europe.
